Young Cotton · New York — Born in SoHo

Strong opinions.
Checked facts.

Young Cotton is a fashion & aesthetic magazine that runs like a research platform. We rank, measure and re-check the clothes young men actually wear — then we tell you, plainly, what to buy, what to skip, and what everyone else is getting wrong. Our look comes from two places at once: downtown New York, and the soft, layered, wide-silhouette aesthetic of Japan.

The Manifesto

Most fashion media whispers. We don't. Every ranking on this site names winners and losers. Every price, size chart and fabric claim is checked by our data team and stamped with the date we checked it. If we get something wrong, we correct it in public. That is the deal: a magazine with a point of view, built on research you can audit.

And it is curated by people who lived it. Our curators — stylists, models, designers, and the men who wear this aesthetic themselves — come out of the scenes we cover: downtown New York, and the soft, layered world of Japanese style that runs through everything we publish. Grit from the trading-floor years; creativity from the stage and the studio. We didn't scour the globe for this look from behind a desk. We were already wearing it.

ResearchedScores come from a published methodology — fabric, construction, fit, value, longevity — not from whoever sent a free sample.
Re-checkedPrices, sizing and availability are re-verified on a rolling cadence. Every article carries its check date.
Kept currentRankings are living documents. When a brand cuts quality or a price moves, the verdict moves too.

The Oxford Files

The Oxford shirt is the most important shirt you own. Most guys buy the wrong one.

One cloth built both the Wall Street uniform and the oversized street silhouette — and the difference between a great Oxford and a cardboard one is knowable, measurable, and almost never explained. We explain it, then we rank the eight shirts worth your money and name the ones to leave on the rail.
